How amazing is this?



It's an optical coherence tomogram of a fingertip. Sweatducts and all. I've been staring at it on and off all afternoon.

    Isn't it? I was googling 'fingerprinting' (like a good crime writer!) and I found the image on Wikipedia. If you click on the bit that says 'optical coherence tomogram' it'll take you to the page with all the science.
