By the way, I keep meaning to ask if you've ever read "Hitchcock" the book that's a transcript of the extended interview between Francois Truffaut and Hitchcock, complete with frame-by-frame images from the films they discuss. It's an amazing book. Lots in it about constructing/telling a story.Sarah Hilaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03379986260169703599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3533238794548293419.post-228997513273349182011-01-22T11:40:36.166+00:002011-01-22T11:40:36.166+00:00Not all of them, and not Owl. Some of the later books, less good.Martin Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16082485795280777670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3533238794548293419.post-83989088670369455642011-01-22T11:19:13.546+00:002011-01-22T11:19:13.546+00:00Hi, Martin, have you read all her thrillers? I very much liked "Those who Walk Away", and "The Blunderer", but didn't get on with the highly-regarded "A Tremor of Forgery" (which I think Graham Greene considered her best work). "Strangers on a Train" is another good one, and the Ripley books of course. I've heard "Cry of the Owl" is a good one. Have you read that, or any others you'd recommend? I'm working my way through, but slowly.Sarah Hilaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03379986260169703599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3533238794548293419.post-80935596773451818352011-01-21T21:55:42.246+00:002011-01-21T21:55:42.246+00:00This was one of my fave Highsmiths.
