Interesting how often damaged dolls are used in crime/horror films and book covers as euphemisms for damaged/dead women. Better than a picture of the real thing, of course. Damaged dolls are doubly horrifying because of their association with children

It *is* horrifying, NL. And, in some ways, not really related to the content of the book. Certainly not in the way you might think.
