Didn't I say that May was my month? The biggest crime agent in the country wants to see my novel the minute it's finished. Talk about an incentive to get it done and done right. Terribly unBritish of me to trumpet blow in this way but I am made up!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FAbulous news! YOu blow that trumpet, girl! But don't rush yourself, take your time. It's lovely to know someone is waiting for it, but don't let that pressure or stress u out too much. Wheeee!
Thanks, Tania! I'll admit it has been a distraction today. I've been pinging emails back and forth with her and not getting as much writing done as I'd hoped. Chicken and egg-like. I'm also a mess of adrenalin and nerves, which doesn't help. But - wheeee! is still my main reaction, too.
Just thought I'd pop in with a cheery congrats - I'm still bowled over by your winning piece for the Litopia competition some years ago. Fingers crossed for you.
Hi Richard! (It's Richard, right?) Great to see you here. Thanks for remembering The Chaperon - one of the earliest boosts I got, confidence-wise was that Litopia win. And thanks for the kind words re the agent. How're things with you? I've not been to Litopia in ages. *hangs head in shame*
'Downright dangerous' (Mick Herron). My new novel FRAGILE will be published by Pan Macmillan on 1 April 2021. Thanks for reading. Do get in touch: sarah_hilary@btinternet.com
