Sarah
thank you so much for this. Am I expected to give a long rambling speech where I start with how my parents first encouraged me to write and then my teachers and then how I won a slogan competition on the back of a cereal box and a Blue Peter badge for a pancake poem - and haven't looked back since?

I hardly do anything on my blog, so this is such a surprise. Makes me think I ought to do more. Not sure I can list seven other blogs that I 'love'... and one of them would be yours anyway, so forgive me if I do not participate properly.

But for the record will list seven things I do like:

1) Maple Pecan Pastries
2) My own bed (especially after a time away)
3) Winning
4) Words
5) Amber (the fossilised resin with spiders or leaves trapped inside)
6) Holding my breath underwater
7) Brighter days

Once you start, the temptation to go on listing is great.

Thanks again.

D

With the list you have here number 1 is your daughter 2nd is her father, so now I started to ask my self who comes first, who mean more my daughters or their father?..:-) I guess I'll have the same answer as yours.

Great list, D and thanks for sparing us the speech(!). You might not blog often but it's always from the heart when you do and that makes an impression. Now, don't go holding your breath underwater TOO much, will you?

Hi Hannah, I should have prefaced my list with "in no particular order", of course.
